Jose Gracia came to Tulsa as assistant women’s tennis coach in February 2021, after serving as the Head Professional at the OU Tennis Club in Norman, Okla.
 
Previously, Gracia served two stints as a volunteer assistant women’s tennis coach at the University of Oklahoma, from June 2018 to July 2019 and again from May 2020 to November 2020.
 
At Oklahoma, his responsibilities ranged from on-court coaching, conducting scouting reports, post-match evaluations, compliance, maintaining social media and coordination of clinics, matches and on-campus visits.
 
Gracia was an assistant women’s coach for one season (2019-20) at Fresno State University. He was heavily involved in recruiting internationally, organized daily practice and meeting plans and handled travel and compliance logs.
 
While a collegian, Gracia served as a tennis instructor at Seminole High Performance Center in Tallahassee, Fla., for two years. He also served four years as a High-Performance Coach at the Rick Macci Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Fla., which was voted the No. 1 Junior Summer Tennis camp in North America
 
A 2018 graduate of Florida State University, Gracia ended his collegiate playing career with 163 wins to rank 6th on the school’s all-time singles wins list. His 83 doubles wins also placed him 6th on the school’s career doubles wins list. He helped his Seminoles to NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his years, while FSU earned a top-10 ranking.

He earned his degree from FSU in interdisciplinary social sciences in May 2018.
