St. Louis, Mo. - Post Game Quotes From NCAA East Regional

Head Coach John Phillips-
On the game: "(Marquette's Cordell) Henry hit some big shots to put them back in the game. They played with a passion that we've been told they played with all season. We knew that was going to happen, even though we were probably playing as well as we could in the second half. I just thought it was a beautiful game from a competitive standpoint. I think both teams really gave it all they had."

On the last shot: "Greg (Harrington), of course, made the big shot at the end. It's an old-school shot that used to be famous in the '50's or '60's, that running one-hander. We've seen him do it before, so I know it's not luck. It's a senior stepping up and making the big play."

Antonio Reed
On how strongly Tulsa started both halves: "On any given night, anybody on our team is capable of getting hot and making the shots. We have a balanced scoring attack from Dante (Swanson) to the last guy on the bench. Tonight was my turn to get hot, and they were leavin me open."

Greg Harrington
On being the lower seed by having more NCAA Tournament experience than MU: "We approach every game as though we're going to win. I don't think our experience had too much to do with the game. Once you start playing, it's just basketball, and that's what we focus on doing, is winning the game. We were just lucky enough to get the win."

On his game-winning shot: "I've made some, and I've missed plenty. I was just fortunate enough to get a very good look. They switched on the screen, and I had a big lane. If the shot's there, I want to go and get it. To hit one today is a very satisfying feeling."

Kevin Johnson
Thoughts after the game's last timeout: "After the last timeout, we came out to play, and my thoughts were, 'I don't see how we should lose this game.' We know we're better and we were very confident that we could win this game. The thought was still going through my mind that we're going to pull this out, and I stayed confident the whole time."

Jack Ingram
On Marquette's run: "When we got up 14, I looked at the clock and saw there was 10 minutes to go. We knew they were going to make a run. We just knew we had to make a play at the end of the game when it was tied."

On playing Kentucky: "We know they're big, athletic and can shoot. Coach Thubby's a Tulsa guy. We're going to come to play, and they're going to come to play. It should be a great game."
