TU Women's Tennis Dominates ORU, 7-0

Tulsa, Okla. - The 47th-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team dominated cross-town rival Oral Roberts, 7-0, on Saturday night at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus.
Tulsa's 48th-ranked doubles tandem, Alicia Pillay and Aleksandra Durska, overcame Marlena Maciolek and Isabelle Soucy, 8-3, in the No. 1 doubles position, while Mariana Barrios and Tiffany Smith defeated ORU's Rachel Budd and Jennifer Helm, 8-4, in the No. 2 slot. TU's Zoe Buhagiar and Daniela Muscolino posted the most impressive score of the night, netting an 8-0 victory over Laine Sommer and Sonia Bailey.
In singles action, Durska defeated Maciolek, 6-1, 6-1, at the No. 1 position as Muscolino overcame Soucy, 6-0, 6-1, in the No. 2 slot. Barrios also posted an impressive win to round out the top-half of the lineup, finishing 6-0, 6-0 over Budd.
Timberly Greenly also netted a 6-0, 6-0 score for the Golden Hurricane with her win over Bailey in the No. 6 position, while Smith and Buhagiar posted 6-0, 6-1, and 6-4, 6-3 wins, respectively.
