Tulsa, Okla. - The 53rd-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team dominated the University of Houston, 6-0, on Wednesday evening at the Chancellor's Racquet Club in Houston, Texas, after rain and cold weather forced the match inside.

TU's 30th-ranked doubles tandem, Alicia Pillay and Aleksandra Durska, dominated Miranda Foley and Yolandi Terblanche, 8-3, in the No. 1 position, while Zoe Buhagiar and Daniela Muscolino defeated Sarah Flood and Karine Urbin also by an 8-3 score at the No. 3 slot. Tiffany Smith and Mariana Barrios, however, had a tougher time overcoming Houston's Analia Longoni and Kami Miller, finishing 9-7 and helping the Golden Hurricane claim the doubles point.

With Durska's doubles win, she became the school's career leader with 80, surpassing former Golden Hurricane standout Jana Sedivec (1998-2002) for the top spot. Durska now boasts an 80-34 (.702) doubles record.

In singles competition, 24th-ranked Pillay posted a 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 comeback win over Foley in the top position, while Durska also posted a comeback win against Longoni, 2-6, 7-6, 6-4, in the No. 2 slot. Muscolino, on the other hand, posted an easier victory for TU, finishing 6-3, 6-4 over Miller to finish out the top-half of the lineup.

Buhagiar also netted a straight-set victory, claiming a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 5 position, while Smith, who netted a 7-6 first set score and fell 5-7 in the second, came back to win 6-4 in the third set at the No. 4 position. Donata Majauskaite and Flood's match was not finished at the No. 6 slot.

Tulsa will be in action again this Friday evening as they take on 51st-ranked TCU beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on The University of Tulsa campus.
