Wolf Pack Downs Golden Hurricane in WAC Opener

Reno, Nev. - The University of Tulsa volleyball squad dropped a 3-0 (30-27, 30-17, 30-27) decision to the Wolf Pack of Nevada in Reno, Nev. The match was the Western Athletic Conference opener for both squads.
Tulsa's lone senior, Nathalia Araujo, led the Hurricane attack with 11 kills. Junior Vanessa Thon posted 28 assists, while sophomore Evyn Bandy recorded nine digs. Thon also added two service aces for the Hurricane.
Tulsa (9-5, 0-1) continues its West Coast swing on Saturday in Fresno, Calif. The Golden Hurricane will face the Bulldogs of Fresno State at 6 p.m. (CST) in the North Gym. TU will return home to the friendly confines of the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Oct. 2, to face UTEP at 7 p.m. and again on Oct. 4, to face Boise State at 3 p.m.
