SMU Tops Tulsa 67-58

DALLAS (AP) - Bryan Hopkins had 18 points, including 10-of-12 free throws, to lead SMU to a 67-58 win over Tulsa o on Tuesday night.
Patrick Simpson and Eric Castro added 14 points apiece for SMU (7-4, 1-0 Western Athletic Conference). Simpson also had 11 rebounds, three blocks and three steals. Castro had 10 rebounds and Justin Isham scored 12 points.
Jason Parker led Tulsa (4-7, 0-2) with 17 points. Kenneth Kelley scored 12 and Jarius Glenn added 11.
SMU led 31-20 at halftime. Tulsa outscored the Mustangs 38-36 in the second half but couldn't overcome the first half lead.
SMU was 15-of-22 from the free throw line while Tulsa was 5-of-9, all of which came in the second half.
