#3 Hawaii Extends WAC Volleyball Streak to 86 Matches

Honolulu, Hawaii - The University of Hawai`i extended its WAC winning streak to 86 matches, with a 3-0 (30-16, 30-19, 30-19) victory over TU at the Stan Sherriff Center before a crowd of 6,855 on Friday night. The victory was also the Wahine's 190 consecutive win over a non-ranked opponent.

Sophomore Joyce Silva led the Hurricane with 12 kills as the only TU hitter to reach double figures. She also posted her fifth double-double of the season with a team-high 10 digs. Senior Lindsay Eaves added eight kills, while freshman Kassiana Urnau posted seven kills.

Senior Vanessa Thon contributed 33 of TU's 35 assists for the match. The Houston, Texas, native has posted over 30 assists in every WAC match this season.

Urnau, ranked third in the country in service aces per game, was held to zero for the second time this season. The Hurricane did not post a service ace for the first time in 21 matches this year.

The match was part of a five-match road swing for the Golden Hurricane. TU still has a pair of conference matches at Louisiana Tech and SMU before returning to the friendly confines of the Donald W. Reynolds Center to host UTEP on Nov. 6.
