Tulsa Women Golfers Place 6th at Jeannine McHaney Invitational

Junior Cas Bridge paced the Hurricane with a 10th  place performance at the season-opening tournament for Tulsa.

Lubbock, Texas - The Tulsa women's golf team carded a final round 299, the second-best round of the day, and finished in sixth place with a 604 total at the rain-shortened Jeannine McHaney Invitational. Heavy rains on Saturday cut the tournament from 54 to 36 holes.

Junior Cas Bridge finished in a 10th place tie after carding an even-par 72 on Sunday at The Rawls Course. Bridge completed the tournament with a five-over par 149 score. Senior Lee-Anne Pace finished in 14th place following a one-over par round of 73 today for a two-day total of 150. Bridge and Pace carded identical 77s during Friday's first round.

Freshman Leisl Hasbrouck, despite a disappointing 80 today, finished in a 36th place tie with teammate A.C. Kindgren. The pair shot a 36-hole total of 154. Kindgren carded her second straight round of 77 today. Freshman Michaela Cavener, finished in 63rd place after rounds of 81-77 for a 158 total. A third freshman. Polly Travica, playing as an individual, finished in 55th place with a 156 total.

Notre Dame captured the team title after a 297 today to finish with a 17-over par 593. Oklahoma placed second at 597, followed by SMU and Missouri (598) and Arkansas (602) rounding out the top five teams. Notre Dame's Katie Brophy claimed individual medalists honors with a three-under par 141.

Tulsa is in action next at the Mercedes-Benz Championship, October 8-10, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
