Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa volleyball squad closed out the weekend with a 3-1 (30-27, 30-22, 28-30, 30-25) loss at East Carolina on Sunday. Tulsa falls to 20-5 on the season, 7-4 in Conference USA play. ECU improves to 14-10 on the year and 5-6 in C-USA, before a crowd of 217 at the Minges Coliseum.

Sophomore Kassiana Urnau led the Golden Hurricane with a match-high 17 kills. It was the seventh consecutive match Urnau led the Hurricane attack, 11th overall time on the season. It was also the 16th double-figure kill performance on the year.

Fellow sophomore Julia Silva recorded 55 assists for the Hurricane. It was her ninth time this season to record over 50-assists in a single match. Senior Evyn Wills added to her school record season dig total with a team-high 11 against the Pirates. She now has 422 digs on the year, smashing the old record of 405 set by Nathalia Araujo in the 2002 season.

Tulsa returns to the friendly confines of the Donald W. Reynolds Center for another busy week. The Hurricane will host Southern Miss at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, for its final cross-over league contest. This match was originally scheduled for Sept. 24, but had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Katrina.

TU will conclude the week with a Friday night match, Nov. 4, against Houston at 7 p.m. Sunday's 2 p.m. match against Rice will be the final home match for three TU seniors.
