Tulsa Women Advance Three Singles and One Doubles Team

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's women's tennis team got three straight-set victories and a pair of doubles victories on day one of main raw play at the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships.
In doubles, Thalia Diaz-Barriga and Eleonora Kuruc picked up a pair of wins by scores of 8-0 and 8-5 to advance to the round of 16.
Kindsay Grimes opened her tournament with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Emily Arkell of ORU.
Santie Delport picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win over Kansas' Yuliana Svistun, while Carla Zabaleta used a 6-4, 6-3 win over Jennifer Poskitt to move into the round of 32.
Play will continue on Friday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
