Delport and Zabaleta Fall in Quarterfinals of Central Regional

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's Santie Delport and Carla Zabaleta each fell in the quarterfinals of the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships.
Delport fell in a hard-fought match to Iryana Tkachenko of Oklahoma State, 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-2, while Zabaleta lost to Maryori Franco of Arkansas, 6-4, 7-6 (2).
In the consolation draw Thalia Diaz-Barriga picked up a pair of wins, with the first coming against Yuliana Svistun of Kansas, 6-1, 6-4, and the second against Patricia Cortes of Arkansas-Little Rock, 6-2, 4-6, 10-4.
Play will conclude on Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
