Diaz-Barriga Wins Draw at Baylor Invitational

Waco, Texas - The University of Tulsa's Thalia Diaz-Barriga defeated SMU's Monica Neveklovska 7-6, 7-5 to win the White Draw finals at the Baylor Invitational in Waco, Texas.
Diaz Barriga, who was the No. 2 seed in the bracket, won all four of her matches in straight sets en route to her finals victory.
In other singles competition on the final day of action saw Kindsay Grimes fall in the Gold Draw Consolation by scores of 6-2, 6-3 to Baylor's Jessica Zok.
TU advanced one team to a doubles final, but Julie Westfall and Diaz-Barriga fell, 8-4, to Holly Lindloff and Aina Rofolo of Abilene Christian.
The Golden Hurricane will next be in action on September 29 when they travel to the Kansas State Invitational.
