Tulsa Edges Past No. 59 Kansas, 4-3

Tulsa, Okla. - The Tulsa women's tennis team (4-0) got big wins at the three, four and six singles positions to edge out No. 59 Kansas, 4-3 on Sunday night in Lawrence, Kan.
TU picked up the doubles point with Santie Delport and Marta Marcinkowska handling Lauren Hommell and Kunigunda Dorn, 8-1, at the two position, while Thalia Diaz-Barriga and Jie Zeng grabbed an 8-6 win at the number three over Ksenia Bukina and Yulianna Svistun at the number three.
Tulsa moved out to a 2-0 lead when Bukina was unable to play in the number two position against Jenna Webster.
Delport picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win over Edina Horvath, while Diaz-Barriga clinched the 4-3 victory with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Lauren Hommell.
Tulsa will next be in action on January 28 when it plays host to Arkansas at noon at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
