TU Posts 18th Win of the Season at Southern Miss

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The University of Tulsa volleyball team posted its 18th win of the season with a 3-0 (30-26, 30-24, 35-33) victory over Southern Miss. The win was the second straight over the Golden Eagles, as TU won last season's match up by a 3-0 score as well.
Senior Fabiola Nepomuceno led the Hurricane attack by recording over 20 kills for the third consecutive match. Her 21 kills were a match high, while freshman Emma Ridley contributed 11 kills for the Hurricane as well. Senior Julia Silva posted her league leading 20th double-double with 47 assists and 10 digs. She was just two kills shy of a triple-double. Junior Malorey Grove led a trio of Hurricane defenders with double-digit dig performances. Grove posted 19 digs, while freshman Nicole Boyle added 13 digs, in addition to Silva's 10.
Tulsa (18-5, 6-2 C-USA) will return to the friendly confines of the Donald W. Reynolds Center to host Conference USA rival SMU on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.
