Tulsa Women's Soccer Team Falls to Colorado College, 4-1

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The Tulsa women's soccer team fell to Colorado College, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colo. TU went to 10-6-3 on the season and 4-4-2 in Conference USA, while the Tigers moved to 9-6-3 overall and 7-2-1 in the league.
"Of course we don't like losing, but Colorado College is a tough team and it is a tough place to play," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. "We out-shot them, had an even number of shots on goal and it was much more evenly matched than the score shows."
Lauren Digregorio and Kaeli Vandersluis each scored a goal at the 7:46 and 15:14 marks to give Colorado College an early lead, but Danielle Hughes punched in a goal in the 32nd minute off a pass from Claire Nicholson to pull within one goal at the break.
In the second half, Kelsey Wise added a goal in the 62nd minute and Kelly Browne netted a goal in the 67th minute to give the Tigers a 4-1 victory.
Claire Hulcer had a team-best four shots, while Stephanie Aitken had three attempts and Jordan O'Brien had two shots. Katie Bykowski logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up six saves.
Tulsa had a 17-15 lead in shots, while both teams had 10 shots on goal, and TU edged the Tigers, 6-5 in corner kicks.
The Golden Hurricane will close out the regular season at home on Friday, Oct. 28th against SMU. Game time is set for 6:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
