Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa basketball teams will have a new court and design when the 2012-13 season begins later this month. On Thursday, the new court was laid out at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
The court was built by Connor Sport Flooring and painted by Praters, the company that designs all the basketball courts for the NCAA Tournament. The new floor replaces a court that was installed at the Reynolds Center when the arena opened in December 1998 and was re-painted three times.
The Tulsa men open the season with an exhibition game against Emporia State on Saturday, October 27, while the Golden Hurricane women play their first exhibition contest on Wednesday, Oct. 31 against Roger State College.
The old court was purchased by and transported to One Hope Mission.
