Tulsa Rowing Team to Host Kansas in Scrimmage on Sunday

The Tulsa rowing team will take on Kansas on Sunday, March 9th in a scrimmage set to begin at 10 am on the Verdigris River in Catoosa, Okla.

The Tulsa rowing team will take on Kansas on Sunday, March 9th in a scrimmage set to begin at 10 am on the Verdigris River in Catoosa, Okla. TU and KU will compete in four flights in Fours and Eights, and the exhibition is expected to last approximately two hours.

The regatta is free to all spectators, which are encouraged to watch in the park adjacent to the race course and dress warmly.

"This scrimmage is a good chance to work out the kinks from being indoors after a long winter," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "It is always good racing when we lineup with Kansas, and we don't expect this weekend to be different. It will also help us figure out some things as we look toward our season opener later in March."
