TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa men's basketball team returns home to play host to Little Rock at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
The Golden Hurricane (4-1) is coming off a 2-1 performance at the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam last weekend. TU defeated Ohio, 90-88, and Indiana State, 67-59, before falling to South Carolina in the finals, 83-75. The Trojans (4-0) have wins over San Diego State, 49-43, and East Carolina, 54-46, in their last two outings.
The game will be broadcast on Big Country 99.5 FM and the Golden Hurricane Radio Network, and televised on ESPN3.
The Series
This will be the ninth meeting between Tulsa and Little Rock. Tulsa leads the series, 5-3. The Golden Hurricane has won two in a row in the series. Prior to Tulsa's 78-73 win in Little Rock last year, each team had won on its home court. The Hurricane has won five games by an average of 11 points. The Trojans won in 62-51 in 2007, 69-67 in 2010, and 72-65 in 2012, all at home. All eight meetings have come since 2006, and the teams have played each year since 2009.

• In its last game, Tulsa fell to South Carolina, 83-75, at the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. Shaquille Harrison led the Golden Hurricane with 20 points, and James Woodard added 18 points. Marquel Curtis scored 11 points off the bench, and D'Andre Wright put up eight points and a team-high seven rebounds.
• Harrison has totaled 117 points in the first five games of this season. He is the first TU player to score that many points in the five opening games of a season since Willie Biles (1971-74) scored 145 points in the first five contests of the 1973-74 season.
• Harrison has scored at least 20 points in each of the first five games of this season. This is the second time he has scored 20 points in five consecutive games. He did so between Dec. 8-31 last year.
• Harrison was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Nov. 23. TU has nabbed the first two conference weekly honors of the season. Woodard won the award on Nov. 16.
• Woodard ranks 10th in TU career scoring with 1,489 points, and sixth with 195 career 3-pointers. He needs 19 points to match Jerome Jordan (2006-10) for ninth place.
• Harrison ranks fourth at TU with 195 career steals, and fifth with 341 career assists. He needs 27 steals to match Shea Seals (1993-97) for fourth place.
• Brandon Swannegan has 124 career blocks, ranking fifth in TU history. He needs 12 blocks to match Eric Coley (1996-00) for fourth place.
• Tulsa is playing this season with nine seniors – the most seniors on one roster in the country.
• The Hurricane returned 97 percent of its scoring and 98 percent of its minutes to the team in 2015-16 – one of only five schools in the country to return at least 90 percent of its scoring and minutes this year.
• The Golden Hurricane is in its second season as a member of the American Athletic Conference.
• Tulsa is in its second year season under the direction of head coach Frank Haith. In his first season, the Hurricane posted a 23-11 overall record and a 14-4 conference record. TU finished second in the American Athletic Conference regular season, played in the semifinals of the conference tournament, and reached the second round of the postseason NIT.
