Tulsa Rowers Race for Lawless Cup on Saturday

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa rowers will take on SMU in the annual Lawless Cup, which is hosted by the Mustangs this season at White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. The regatta is set to begin at 8:15 am and will conclude by 9:30 am.
The title race is the Varsity 8+, while both teams will race in 3rd Varsity 8+/4th Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+, 2nd Varsity 8+ and 2nd Varsity 4+/3rd Varsity 4+ races as well.
"The Lawless Cup is always an important race for us because it honors our President Emeritus, Robert Lawless, who started the rowing program at Tulsa," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "It's also a big deal because one of our closest rivals, SMU, is who we are racing for the honors."
"SMU had a great race recently against Kansas and we know that both teams get up for this event. We are looking forward to it and want to keep the cup in Tulsa."
