No. 37-Ranked Tulsa Women’s Tennis Team Travels For Pair Of Road Matches

TULSA, Okla. –
The University of Tulsa women's tennis team (7-1 overall) travels to Lafayette, Ind., to take on No. 43-ranked DePaul on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Schwartz Tennis Center, before taking on No. 51-ranked Purdue on Sunday, Feb. 14.  
 
Tulsa now has a No. 37 national team ranking after previously being ranked No. 50, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Wednesday. Freshman Martha Matoula and junior Rongrong Leenabanchong go into this weekend with a No. 55 ranking in doubles play after previously being ranked No. 46.
 
The Hurricane is on a two-match win streak after defeating back-to-back ranked opponents in No. 15 Baylor and No. 36 Arkansas. Last weekend, TU dominated the Razorbacks in a 6-1 decision.
 
In Saturday's contest against No. 43-ranked DePaul, Tulsa will face No. 101-ranked singles player Marina Cozac, and No. 28-ranked doubles team Rebecca Mitrea and Yulia Shupenia. In Sunday's contest against No. 51-ranked Purdue, the Hurricane will take on No. 36-ranked doubles team Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum and Krisztina Kapitany.
 
The Hurricane will return to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to take on No. 23-ranked TCU on Friday, Feb. 19, and UCF on Sunday, Feb. 21.
