Women's Tennis to Open ITA Kick-Off Weekend Against Northwestern

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Women's Tennis team will open ITA Kick-Off Weekend play tomorrow as they take on No. 25 Northwestern at 9 a.m. in Durham, N.C. The Hurricane head into weekend play with a 4-0 mark in dual play.
Through nine events, the Hurricane have compiled a 74-21 mark in singles play along with a 19-0 singles mark in dual events. Senior Marcelina Cichon and freshman Martina Okalova head into the weekend with a 9-1 singles record after both winning their respective flights at the Hurricane Invite last weekend. Ksenia Laskutova and Martha Matoula both won their flights as well after finishing the weekend unbeaten and have a 9-2 and 13-3 record respectively.
Tulsa's opponent in Northwestern has a 3-0 record this season with wins over Akron, Chicago State and Harvard.
Play at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend will wrap up tomorrow at either 9 a.m. or noon against Duke or William & Mary.
