A freshman midfielder from Bartlesville, Okla., Ruiz started in 13 of 15 games on the year.  He scored a goal against Denver and finished the year with 11 shots, four of which were on goal.  Ruiz was instrumental in shutouts over #1 Stanford, SMU, Cincinnati and Memphis.
