Tulsa’s Majidizadeh in 5th Place at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate

Tulsa senior Nadia Majidizadeh, from Tulsa's Union High School, carded an opening round fifth-place score on Sunday as the Golden Hurricane women's golf team sits in seventh-place at John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate.
 
Majidizadeh shot an even-par 72 at the Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia, while as a team the Hurricane carded a score of 303.
 
Sophomore Anneke Strobach and freshman Greta Bruner finished the first round tied for 22nd place after turning in rounds of 76. Tulsa also counted the score of sophomore Olivia Jackson, who shot a round of 79 for 48th place, on Sunday.
 
Junior Nicole Marquardt is in 76th place after a score of 87, while freshman Taylor Dobson playing as an individual, turned in a round of 83 for 62nd place.
 
Murray State has a one-stroke lead over Eastern Kentucky, 293 to 294, in the team race, while Eastern Kentucky's Elsa Moberly's four-under par score of 78 was good for first-place individually after first round action.
 
Second round play takes place on Monday, while the tournament will conclude on Tuesday.
