Tulsa Men’s Tennis Falls to #5 Oklahoma State in Stillwater 4-0

STILLWATER, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team fell on the road to No. 5-ranked Oklahoma State 4-0 on Friday afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center. The Hurricane will have a week off before beginning play at The American Athletic Conference Tournament on March 19-23.

Originally scheduled to be played outdoors, the match was moved indoors due to high winds.

Oklahoma State picked up the doubles point with two wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 position as their ranked pairings of #3 Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe along with #88 Lucas Gerch and Tristan Meraut defeated Tulsa's Dominic Bechard/Okkie Kellerman and Daniel Santos/Jarod Hing, respectively.

Majed Kilani and Mitchell Pritchard were up 5-4 in their doubles match against Lukas Finzelberg and Tristan Meraut before the match was called.

Tulsa faced a tough OSU lineup that featured four top-100 singles players with three of those players picking up wins at the top three spots to secure the 4-0 win over TU.

Dominic Bechard was bested at the No. 3 position by #99 Lucas Gerch 6-1, 6-0 for OSU's second point of the afternoon before #87 Arjun Kadhe defeated Jarod Hing 6-4, 6-3. Kilani fell in his match to #21 Cash at the No. 1 position as OSU grabbed the final point needed in a 6-2, 6-1 finish.

Okkie Kellerman took the first set at the No. 6 position 6-4 over Nathan Roper before the match was called with Kellerman trailing 3-2 in the second.
