Tulsa’s Gilles Kuhler Named The American Rookie of the Week

Tulsa freshman men's soccer player Gilles Kuhler was named as the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced today by the league office.

Kuhler scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute to give Tulsa a 1-0 victory over Cincinnati last week, helping TU snap a seven-game non-winning streak. Kuhler had a team-best five shots, two of which were on goal, in 90 minutes of play. Kuhler also had two attempts in a 0-0 double-overtime tie with Missouri State earlier in the week.

This was Kuhler's second Rookie of the Week accolade as he also received the honor on Sept. 3.
