DALLAS, Texas – The University of Tulsa women's tennis squad returns to the court for more fall action at the Red and Blue Challenge, hosted by SMU, this weekend.

The tournament is set to begin on Friday, November 2, and run through Sunday, November 4. All eight Hurricane athletes will take the court for Tulsa at the SMU Tennis Complex.

At last year's Red and Blue Challenge, the Hurricane women showed why they are one of the nation's most dominant lineups, picking up 12 singles wins and five doubles victories in Dallas, Texas.

So far this fall, Tulsa has lived up to expectations, as the doubles team of Martina Okalova and Vera Ploner won the ITA Central Region doubles title on October 16. The feat marked the fifth time a TU duo has achieved the milestone, while being the fourth tandem overall to do so.

With the achievement, Ploner and Okalova have qualified for next week's ITA National Fall Championships in Surprise, Arizona, with the event scheduled to take place from November 7-11.

Along with the National Fall Championships, the Golden Hurricane will take part in the ITF 25K in Norman, Oklahoma, from November 10-14. These events will wrap up an action-packed fall slate for TU.
