Women's Tennis Finishes Main Draw Action at ITA Central Regional Championships

NORMAN, Okla. — Tulsa women's tennis concluded their competition at the ITA Central Regional Championships on Friday, falling in main draw action in both singles and doubles competition.
In singles, Tayla Wilmot fell to Oklahoma's Roisin Gilheany, 1-6, 0-6, while Erin McKenzie was defeated by Barakat Quadre from Oklahoma, 0-6, 3-6. Carolina Alonso also dropped her match to Oral Roberts' Miranda Noor, 2-6, 4-6.
In doubles play, Lilitha Ndungane and McKenzie fell to a pair from Iowa, 5-8, and the duo of Saniya Singh and Alonso were topped by the seventh-seeded Oklahoma tandem of Julia Garcia Ruiz and Barakat Quadre, 1-8.
With those results, Tulsa wrapped up its main draw competition at the ITA Central Regional Championships in Norman.
