Tulsa Women’s Tennis Team Opens Tournament Play Today

DALLAS, Texas – The No. 2-seeded Tulsa Golden Hurricane open American Athletic Conference tournament play today in quarterfinal action with a 3:00 p.m. match against the Memphis Tigers at a the SMU Tennis Complex. Tulsa received a first round bye on Wednesday, while the No. 7-sseded Tigers defeated Cincinnati 4-1 in first round action.

Tulsa is ranked 27th in the nation with an overall 18-5 record. The last time Tulsa and Memphis met on the tennis courts came in the 2014-15 season as the Golden Hurricane claimed a 4-2 victory.

The winner of today's quarterfinal match will advance to Friday's semifinal match against winner of No. 3 Wichita State and No. 6 Houston.
