WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 24-ranked Tulsa women's tennis team will open play at the NCAA's Sweet Sixteen Thursday against the No. 21-ranked Florida State Seminoles. Match time is expected to be at 5 p.m. Due to poor weather conditions, the Tulsa-FSU match has been moved to the University of North Carolina campus' indoor complex.

Tulsa advanced to its first ever Sweet 16 appearance after beating the No. 9 seed Oklahoma State, 4-2. TU comes into the Sweet 16 riding a seven-match winning streak. Ksenia Laskutova and Martina Okalova remain ranked by the ITA, No. 80 and No. 112 respectively.

This will be the first ever meeting between the Hurricane and the Seminoles. FSU is led by the No. 19 ranked Carla Touly and the No. 122 ranked Petra Hule. On the doubles side, Florida State has the No. 56 ranked tandem in Touly and Ariana Rahmanparast. The Seminoles advanced to the Sweet 16 by defeating the No. 8 seed Florida, 4-3.

The matchup between TU and FSU was scheduled to take place at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex, but due to weather the North Carolina indoor complex is serving as a backup facility. The winner will play the winner of the No. 1 seed Vanderbilt and No. 16 seed Miami on Saturday, May 19, at 4 p.m.
