Tulsa’s Cashion and Clark Earn American Athletic Conference Weekly Honors

Tulsa's Mitchell Cashion and Cooper Clark were tabbed as the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, as announced today by the league office.  Juan Sanchez was named to The American Honor Roll.
 
Cashion, a freshman defender from College Station, Texas, played all 90 minutes against #15 Michigan in his first collegiate contest, and then was instrumental in a shutout against #4 Michigan State.
 
A sophomore from Norman, Okla., Clark logged all 200 minutes in goal on the week.  He picked up 11 saves, including five against #4 Michigan State for the clean sheet and six against #15 Michigan, had a 0.917 saves percentage, and allowed just one goal for a 0.45 goals-against average.
 
Sanchez, a senior forward from Ossining, N.Y., scored the first goal for Tulsa in a 2-1 win over #15 Michigan.  He had four shots on the week and played 149 of the possible 200 minutes.
