Tulsa Heads to Volunteer State for Bruiser Showcase

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa volleyball team travels to Nashville, Tennessee, this week in advance of the Bruiser Showcase, hosted by Belmont University.
The first match with East Tennessee State (2-1) takes place Friday, August 31, at 9:30 a.m. CT, with match two against host Belmont (0-4) at 6 p.m. CT.
On Saturday, TU squares off in its final match of the tournament with the UMBC Retrievers (1-2) at 11 a.m. CT. For the Golden Hurricane, this is the first meeting in program history for all three teams.
Last weekend at the Purdue Reamer Club Premier, Tulsa boasted a 2-1 record, taking victories over Bowling Green and Wofford. Junior Taylor Horsfall and freshman Elyse Savadove earned all-tournament honors for the weekend, and TU remains the conference leader in digs per set with 16.80.
