Tulsa Volleyball Opens Conference Play at Home This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa volleyball squad is back in the Donald W. Reynolds Center on Friday, Sept. 21 against Memphis and Sunday, Sept. 23 against Tulane to kick off conference play.
The first match features TU (7-4) and Memphis (7-5) on Friday at 7 p.m. CT in the Reynolds Center. The first 50 students to arrive will receive a specialized TU phone wallet.
On Sunday, the Golden Hurricane squares off with Tulane (12-3) at 1 p.m. CT. The day will be recognized as High School and Club Volleyball Day, which consists of a pregame yard sale by Tulsa volleyball, postgame serves for those in middle school or younger and autographs for all fans.
The team begins conference play after taking on Illinois State and No. 21 Marquette a week ago in the Marquette Invitational. Junior DS/L Taylor Horsfall had a strong weekend defensively, racking up 50 digs in two matches, tallying a 7.14 digs per set mark.
The team boasts a 7-4 record overall after going 2-1 in both the Purdue Premier and Bruiser Showcase. Tulsa followed it up with a perfect 3-0 showing in its home tournament, the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational, then the Marquette Invitational a week ago.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
