With just 93-seconds remaining in the second overtime period, Andre Shinyashiki netted the game winner for #4 Denver in a 2-1 double-overtime victory over the Tulsa men's soccer team on Monday night in Denver, Colo.  TU fell to 3-5-1 on the season, while DU moved to 8-0-1 overall.

As the first half was drawing to a close, junior midfielder Harris Partain punched in his first goal of his career at Tulsa at the 40:13 mark.  Koray Easterling passed the ball forward to Chase Bromstedt who flicked the ball to Partain who shot from inside the box.

Shinyashiki evened the score in the 62nd minute off a combination from Kenny Akamatsu and Jacob Stensson, and the two teams battled for the next 47 minutes before Shinyashiki earned the game-winning goal, his 19th score on the year, from just five yards out into the lower left-hand corner.

Bromstedt and Partain each had two shots for the Golden Hurricane, while Easterling and Alex Harris both had one attempt.  Bryson Reed, a junior transfer from Northern Oklahoma College, earned his first playing time between the posts for TU and picked up 10 saves.

Denver had a 20-6 lead in shots, including a 12-2 advantage in shots on goal, and a 7-1 lead in corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 at USF.  Game time is set for 6:00 pm at Corbett Stadium in Tampa, Fla.
