Tulsa Men’s Tennis to Host No. 14 TCU on Friday

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis team (2-1) is set for play on the courts of the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Friday, hosting No. 14 TCU (0-0), with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
The Horned Frogs come into the match having already competed at the Tempe Collegiate Cup, hosted by Arizona State. At the tournament, TCU posted a 13-4 mark in singles and a 4-5 record in doubles play.
The Golden Hurricane haven't defeated the Horned Frogs since a Feb. 10, 2013, match in Tulsa, in which head coach Vince Westbrook's squad handled TCU, 4-1.
TU is coming off a midweek match with Mercer inside the Case Tennis Center. After winning the doubles point, Tulsa would go on to take the match, 6-1, rattling off five of six singles matches, including winning four of six in straight sets.
Following the TCU match on Friday, the team will get a week to recuperate in advance of a Sunday, Jan. 27, doubleheader in Tulsa, as the team will face off with Abilene Christian at 9 a.m. and Nebraska-Omaha at 3 p.m. CT.
