THE GAME
• This is the second meeting between Tulsa and South Carolina State.
• The game is the fifth and final home game in the month of November for the Hurricane.
• This will be the third of four games in the Vanderbilt Invitational as Tulsa has won both previous games ... Austin Peay 72-65 and Southeastern Louisiana 73-66.
• South Carolina State is 2-4 on the season … the Bulldogs have captured wins against Bob Jones University and Wilberforce University, while the losses came at Memphis and against Liberty.
A TULSA WIN WOULD
• Extend Tulsa's non-conference home winning streak to 18 games.
• Tulsa is 4-0 at home this season, won all 8 non-league home games last year and went 5-1 in the 2017-18 season … Tulsa's last non-conference home loss was against Lamar in the 2017-18 season opener, 74-67 on Nov. 10, 2017-18.
• Give Head Coach Frank Haith his 100th win at the helm of the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
THE SERIES
• Tulsa has a 1-0 series lead against South Carolina State.
• The only meeting between the two teams came last season as Tulsa took the win 74-52 on Nov. 10, 2018.
• DaQuan Jeffries showed out in the game against the Bulldogs as he tallied 18 points and came down with nine rebounds.
THE LAST HOME GAME
• Tulsa moved to 4-0 at home this season with a 73-66 win over Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday.
• Newcomer Brandon Rachal recorded his second double-double of the season by recording 20 points and 11 rebounds
• Junior guard Darien Jackson put in a career high, scoring 18 points in the game. He added 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
• With 4:59 left to play the Golden Hurricane found themselves down two; however, they stormed back going on a 10-0 run led by Jeriah Horne who had 6 points on the run.
• Tulsa became more aggressive in the second half getting to the free throw line constantly. In the second half they made 16 of 21 free throws with a 20-28 clip for the game.
• The Hurricane also pushed the tempo in the game out-scoring Southeastern Louisiana by 22-10 in fastbreak buckets.
SHARING THE WEALTH
• In Tulsa's first 3 games it was a different player who stepped up to lead the Hurricane, including 3 different leading scorers.
• In the opener against Houston Baptist, junior Jeriah Horne led the scoring with 22 points in a starting role, while Brandon Rachal had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds
• Against UTA, Reggie Jones came off the bench to lead Tulsa with 19 points and added 5 rebounds … Darien Jackson had a team-high 7 boards and added 12 points off the bench.
• In the ORU game, Rachal led Tulsa in scoring with 24 points and added 9 rebounds … freshman Isaiah Hill added 12 points and a team-high 8 assists, while Jackson had a team-high 11 rebounds.
• In Tulsa's last 2 games, it was a repeat player to lead the team in scoring (Rachal - 30,20), rebounds (Rachal - 7,11) and assists (Hill -4,5).
IN THE PAINT
• In the 5 games this season, Tulsa is scoring 50.3-percent of its points in the paint (180 of 358 total points).
• Tulsa averages 17.6 more points in the paint than its opponents (180 to 92).

NEW LINEUP
• Frank Haith switched up the starting lineups against Southeastern Louisiana by giving Emmanuel Ugboh and Reggie Jones their first career Tulsa starts. They were joined in the starting lineup by Isaiah Hill, Darien Jackson and Brandon Rachal.
• This starting lineup scored 72.6 percent of the points against the visitors including Rachal and Jackson combining for 38 of the Hurricane's 73 points.
• The starters also consisted of 13 of the 18 assists and 28 of the 39 rebounds brought in by Tulsa.
• The group consisted of four newcomers: Hill (Freshman), Ugboh and Rachal (JC Transfers) and Jones (Transfer from Western Michigan).
TULSA'S SUCCESS IN THE AMERICAN
• Since joining the American Athletic Conference prior to the 2014-15 season, the Golden Hurricane has posted 54 league wins, which is the fifth-most in the circuit during that time.
• Only Cincinnati (71), Houston (58), SMU (57) and Temple (55) have earned more victories than Tulsa's 54.
• TU has finished better than its preseason prediction in each of Haith's five seasons. Tulsa is the first program in The American history to finish better than its preseason prediction in five consecutive seasons.
• The Golden Hurricane was picked to finish 10th this season.
HOME COOKIN'
• After hosting the first TU men's basketball game on Dec. 29, 1998, the Golden Hurricane is in its 22nd season in the Donald W. Reynolds Center this year.
• Tulsa has posted an overall record of 257-75 (.774) in its 20+ seasons, including 4-0 this year and a 14-3 mark last season. Tulsa's 14 home wins last year were the most for the team since 2009-10, when it claimed 16 home wins.
• The building has seen 42 sellouts and 1,931,620 fans have witnessed Tulsa basketball at the Reynolds Center.

• Two former Golden Hurricane players, under Frank Haith, currently in the NBA are Shaquille Harrison with the Chicago Bulls and rookie DaQuan Jeffries with the Sacramento Kings.
