Pearson Set to Play at Oracle ITA National Fall Championships

TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa men's tennis sophomore Kody Pearson will represent TU on Wednesday, as he faces Joseph Guillin, the 13th seed from UC Santa Barbara at 3 p.m. central time in the 2019 Oracle International Tennis Association (ITA) National Fall Championships on Wednesday. The single elimination tournament is being held at The Tennis Club in Newport Beach, Calif.
This is Pearson's first fall national championship he is competing in. Ranked 96th the 2019-20 Preseason ITA Division I Men's Individual National Rankings, the Australian won the central regional singles championship over Stefan Milicevic from Minnesota 6-3, 6-1. He is on a six-game winning streak, and stands at 6-2 overall in singles this season.
This will be the second time Guillin has played the Golden Hurricane this season. During the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, he played freshman Juan Pablo Cenoz in a consolation contest in the singles main draw. Guillin defeated Cenoz 6-4, 6-4.
The Oracle ITA National Fall Championships features 128 of the nation's top collegiate singles players (64 men and 64 women) and 64 doubles teams (32 men's team and 32 women's teams).
The 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships men's and women's singles will stream live will air live on ESPN3, on Sunday, November 10. Both finals will re-air on ESPNU at a later date.
