Tulsa Men’s Tennis Returns to the Court This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa men's tennis team (11-9) will look to rebound this weekend, scheduled to take on No. 43 Tulane (8-11) in New Orleans before hosting UTSA (11-5) on Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Green Wave enter Friday's 1 p.m. CT clash on the back of a 2-1 outing at the San Diego Invitational a weekend ago. Tulane is 0-2 against American Athletic Conference teams this season, including 4-3 losses to both UCF and USF.
On Sunday, TU will play host to UTSA at 1 p.m. CT at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Roadrunners are 11-5 this season, while riding a three-match loss streak and a 5-4 road record this season.
Heading into the week, head coach Vince Westbrook's bunch boasts a 11-9 overall mark. Tulsa already owns two top-25 victories this season, taking down No. 14 TCU on January 18 and most recently, No. 23 Oklahoma State on March 13.
Tulsa is led in singles by freshman Kody Pearson, who boasts a 14-5 mark in solo play in the dual season. Pearson has already been named the conference Player of the Week once this season and paces the team with his 14 singles victories in 2019.
