Tulsa Track and Field to Close Regular Season in California, Arkansas

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa track and field squad wraps up the outdoor regular season this weekend, sending one athlete to the Payton Jordan Invitational on Thursday and competing at the Arkansas Twilight on Friday.
Redshirt-senior Ben Preisner will represent the Golden Hurricane at the Payton Jordan Invitational late Thursday night. Preisner will be running alongside former TU first team All-Americans Luke Traynor and Marc Scott in the 10,000 meters, tentatively scheduled to begin at 1 a.m. CT.
In Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the Arkansas Twilight, Tulsa will send 18 track athletes (12 men and 6 women) to participate in the one-day meet. Field events are scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. CT, while track events are tentatively set to begin at 6 p.m. CT.

In the team's last time out, the Golden Hurricane set five program top-10 all-time marks at the prestigious Drake Relays. The men's and women's 4x800-meter relays and the men's and women's 4x1600-meter relays each ran times within the top-five in TU history.
