CINCINNATI, Ohio – Tulsa forces 17 turnovers scoring 11 points off them, but the Hurricane is outscored 49-22 in the second half, falling to Cincinnati 75-44 at Fifth Third Arena.
 
Martins Igbanu led the Golden Hurricane (9-6, 1-1) with 9 points and 3 rebounds. Jeriah Horne scored 8 points and added a game-high 6 rebounds, and Brandon Rachal put in 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.
 
The Bearcats (9-6, 2-1) were led by Jarron Cumberland who tallied 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Jaevin Cumberland had 16 points, making 4 three-pointers on the night.
 
As a team, Tulsa just shot 32.2 percent from the field, while Cincinnati put in 30 of their 62 shots (48-percent). The Hurricane was outscored in the paint 36-34.
 
Cincinnati outscored Tulsa 15-8 to start the second half pushing their lead to double-digits at 41-30. Later in the half, the Bearcats used a 14-0 run to give them a 57-35 advantage.
 
Emmanuel Ugboh's bucket at the 7:38 snapped the 4:05 scoring drought for the Hurricane. Tulsa only scored 7 points the remainder of the game with two buckets by Reggie Jones and Darien Jackson.
 
The Hurricane held the lead for 1:40 of the first half, grabbing an 8-7 lead on a Martins Igbanu layup with 12:33 left in the half.
 
Tulsa crashed the board in the first half grabbing 19 rebounds. 7 of those rebounds were on the offensive glass, leading to 8 second chance points.
