Match Notes

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa women's tennis team is set to play two of its final three road dual matches this weekend, as the Golden Hurricane (7-2) head to West Lafayette, Indiana to face DePaul and Purdue. Tulsa will open competition against the Blue Demons (3-2) on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT, followed by the Boilermakers (3-5) on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT. Both matches will take place at the Schwartz Tennis Center on the campus of Purdue University.

Saturday's matchup marks the third meeting over the last six seasons between the Hurricane and Blue Demons. Each match in the series has taken place in West Lafayette, Indiana. Tulsa has clinched consecutive 4-0 wins over DePaul.

The Blue Demons are led by first-year head coach Marisa Arce. She comes to the Windy City following four seasons as the women's tennis head coach at IUPUI. DePaul has a rich history of success in the Big East, as the Blue Demons have appeared in the last six Big East Tournament title matches, ultimately winning four crowns.

Tulsa and Purdue have squared off each of the last six seasons, with the Hurricane winning four straight and going 5-1 overall. Over the last six seasons, the Golden Hurricane are undefeated in West Lafayette, 3-0. Laura Glitz is in her 13th season atop the helm. She has guided the Boilermakers to double-digit wins in nine of the last 10 seasons.

This is the second time Tulsa and Purdue have seen each other this year. At the Saint Francis Health System ITA Women's All-American Championships in October, junior Shura Poppe defeated Ena Babic of Purdue in three sets, 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Sunday's dual match against Purdue will be available via live stats and live stream.
