TULSA, Okla. - The SEC tour resumes this weekend for the Tulsa men's tennis team, as the Golden Hurricane (5-2) travel to Alabama for a 6 p.m. dual match on Friday night in Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide (6-2) are led by head coach George Husack, who is in his eighth season atop the helm. A year ago, the Crimson Tide went 16-11 overall and clinched a spot in the NCAA Regional Championships, where they suffered a 4-3 loss to American foe USF. He has guided UA to a postseason appearance in seven of eight seasons. Last year, he guided the Crimson Tide to the NCAA Doubles National Championship match.

Alabama's Riccardo Roberto is the lone Crimson Tide player ranked in either the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Singles or Doubles Rankings. He's slotted as the No. 103-ranked singles player. He stands at 11-8 overall in singles and has split time between the top three positions. In addition, he is undefeated at 3-0 against ranked opponents. As a team, the Crimson Tide feature eight players with double-digit wins in singles.

Tulsa also has one player ranked in the singles rankings, as sophomore Kody Pearson jumped from No. 98 to No. 26 in the first singles rankings in 2020. His ranking is the highest by any Hurricane player since the 2016-17 campaign.

A win for the Golden Hurricane would snap a two-match skid, as TU has suffered consecutive losses against two top 10 programs in the ITA Team Rankings.

Fans can follow the match via live stream and live stats.
