Chris O'Hare Wins Men's Wanamaker Mile

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's men's cross country and track and field alum Chris O'Hare won the Men's Wanamaker Mile for the second time in three years on Saturday. The mile run was part of the 113th NYRR Millrose Games at the Armory-New Balance Track and Field Center in New York, New York.

The Great Britain native won the event to a time of 3:55.61, as he edged Olli Hoare of Australia, who finished runner-up at 3:56.47.

In 2018, O'Hare posted a time of 3:54.14. With the win, he became the first British man to win the race in over 50 years.

O'Hare attended Tulsa from 2009-13 and was a six-time All-American, while also winning the NCAA title in the mile run at the 2012 Indoor Championships.
