Nine University of Tulsa rowers earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar Athlete honors, as announced today by the same organization.
"It is really encouraging to see our student-athletes rise to the occasion in what has clearly been a challenging year," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "I think, like a lot of teams, our student-athletes saw the challenge and refocused their competitiveness toward their academics. It is great to see so many being honored by the CRCA this year."
Among the honorees are Madison Bickle, Becky Coleman, Daniela Fusco-House, Meredith Galloway, Chloe Henderson, Helen Leigh, Sydney Pirkle, Veronique Ulrich and Karen Undset.
Pirkle and Ulrich are both three-time honorees, while Bickle also earned this honor last season.
The 2020 honoree requirements include being at least a sophomore in eligibility, ranking performance-wise in the top 50-percent of their team or in the "NCAA Squad", and having a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher.
