Tulsa Women's Tennis Falls at OU 6-1

NORMAN, Okla. –– The Tulsa women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision against the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday afternoon at the Headington Family Tennis Center, falling to 3-1 on the year as Oklahoma improved to 3-0.
Tulsa captured its lone victory at the No. 2 spot as Shura Poppe went three sets with Martina Capurro. Poppe captured the first set 6-2, dropped the second set 7-6 and 7-4 in the tiebreaker. In the final set, Poppe won 10-8.
Poppe improved to 4-0 on the season.
Tulsa will be in action next Sunday, Jan. 31, as the Golden Hurricane women will host the 25th-ranekd Kansas Jayhawks.
