Tulsa Women’s Tennis Wraps up ITA Central Regional

IOWA CITY, Iowa ― The ITA Division I Women's Central Regional Championship wrapped up Monday afternoon at the University of Iowa.
The duos of Valeryia Rozenkova/Maria Berlanga Bandera and Laia Conde Monfort/Shura Poppe both made it to the round of 16 on the doubles side, while Lian Benedejcic/Leonor Peralta Dias de Oliveira made it to the round of 32.
In singles play, Ana Naranjo Martinez, Rozenkova, Berlanga and Poppe all won their opening matches before dropping in the round of 64.
Lily Hutchings, who qualified in the qualifying round, made it to the round of 32 on the singles side, while Conde Monfort, who was ranked No. 74 in the ITA Preseason Rankings, advanced to the round of 16, the farthest of any Tulsa player.
Tulsa will wrap up its fall season at the ITA National Fall Championship, from November 4-7 in San Diego, California.
