Tulsa Women’s Tennis Records Nine Wins on Day One of Hurricane Invite

TULSA, Okla. ― The Tulsa women's tennis team had a successful opening day showing of the Hurricane Invite, winning nine total matches, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Tulsa went 7-0 during the singles portion, as Valeryia Rozenkova, Shura Poppe, Lian Benedejcic, Maria Berlanga Bandera, Lily Hutchings, Leonor Peralta Dias de Oliveira and Ana Naranjo Martinez all posted wins over American Athletic Conference foe Houston.
On the doubles side, the duos of Hutchings/Naranjo and Poppe/Benedejcic both tallied wins over Central Arkansas, while Rozenkova/Berlanga dropped theres at the very end.
Tulsa will be back in action tomorrow morning at 10 am. Play is set to begin on the outdoor courts but might be moved inside depending on weather.
