
Tulsa Volleyball Adds Italian Libero to 2020 Class

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa volleyball team signed libero Marta Pecalli to the 2020 signing class, announced by head coach Ryan Wills today.
Pecalli, the Trieste, Italy native, transfers to the Hurricane from Studiorum Universita di Bologna in Italy. The 5'5" libero attended Liceo Caterina Percote in Udine and Liceo Francesco Petrarca in Trieste before attending Studiorum Universita di Bologna.
Pecalli brings championship pedigree to the Hurricane, competing in the under 14, 16, 18 and serie B championships. He squad won each of those championships and placed 5th in serie C and serie A2. The libero was the Most Valuable Player in the under 16 and under 18 championships.
Marta joins the Golden Hurricane 2020 class that features outside hitter Rachel Brown and right-side hitter Bailey Birmingham who signed in November.
Tulsa continues its season this Thursday, Feb. 25 as they travel to Memphis to face off against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m.
