Cook In the History Books
• Upperclassmen Callie Cook brings intensity for the Hurricane on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.
• Cook entered the first contest against the SMU Mustangs needing 3 blocks to break the all-time career block record of 399 career blocks set by Hannah Stout (2007-10) .
• Against the Mustangs, the junior secured 5 blocks to set the new career record with 402 blocks.
• Cook also sits second all-time in block assists with 344 in her career ... she needs 5 block assists to pass Stout who is the career leader for the Hurricane with 348.
• Cook has a career total of 890 kills putting her 110 away from reaching the 1,000 kill career mark.
Senior Send-off for Maggie Hembree
• Senior Maggie Hembree will compete in her last match as a Golden Hurricane on Saturday against Tulane ... this season Hembree has recorded 66 kills and leads the team with 32 total blocks.
• The 6'4" middle blocker has had a stellar career for Tulsa, putting in 505 kills on 1209 attacks ... she has recorded 258 blocks with 41 solo blocks and 217 block assists in her four
seasons.
• The Tulsa native has appeared in 88 matches for the Hurricane accounting for 664.5 career points.
Scouting the Green Wave
• Tulane opened its' season with a 8-9 record and a 5-3 start in AAC play.
• Last season when the two squared off in the Reynolds Center, Tulsa edged out a 3-1 victory over the Green Wave ... the Green Wave won the match in New Orleans, La. 3-2, tying the season series.
• The Green Wave are led by Lexie Douglas who has 231 kills and 30 blocks this season ... setter Taylor Henigsman leads the team with 461 assists averaging 7.68 a set.
