Tulsa’s Meinhard Named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week

Tulsa men's soccer player Alex Meinhard was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week, as announced by the same publication. He also picked up Top Drawer Soccer national team honorable mention accolades this week.

Meinhard recorded both goals for Tulsa to give the Golden Hurricane a 2-1 win over #15 SMU last week. Meinhard scored his sixth goal of the season as he drilled in shot from the top left corner of the box into the lower right corner of the goal at the 19:36 mark. He then netted the game-winning goal, his fifth of the season, at the 80:41 mark. Will Edwards played a long ball up the middle of the field to Malik Henry-Scott who crossed the ball to Meinhard for the goal from six yards out.

Meinhard had a team-best seven shots, three of which were on goal, in 90 minutes of action.
