TAMPA, Fla. –– Tulsa's 22^nd-ranked men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to USF on Saturday night at Corbett Stadium in Tampa, Fla. The Golden Hurricane fell to 2-1 on the season, while the Bulls moved to 3-2 overall.

"I think in terms of possession it was pretty good, but we weren't as good in the final third as we needed to be and we lacked conviction," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We defended well, but we made a couple mistakes and got punished for it because that led to their two goals."

Luke Jeffus put Tulsa on the board at the 53:53 mark off an assist from Chase Bromstedt. Bromstedt got the ball on the end line and chipped it to Jeffus who headed it in from six yards out. Shion Soga evened the score in the 65^th minute and then Brian Schaefer gave the Bulls a 2-1 lead in the 76^th minute for the final score.

Malik Henry-Scott had a team-best three shots, while Alex Meinhard added two attempts, and Jeffus, Henry Sach and Jonathan Cervantes all had one attempt. Lucas Cline logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up three saves.

Tulsa had an 8-7 lead in shots, while the Bulls had a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. Both teams had three corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Saturday, March 13 against Temple beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
